Named for the original owner of the Strong House Inn, our Samuel’s Room is a refined garden room offering a custom made queen bed with a hand painted Vermont theme, antique writing desk and armoire. The atrium door leads out to deck and allows you your own access to the courtyard. Quiet seclusion, with a garden appeal, the Samuel’s Room is one of our favorites.

The original master bedroom of our 1834 house, the Empire Room welcomes you with an abundance of romantic charm. This second-floor guest room boasts a queen canopy bed along with a separate day bed, cozy chairs, an art-deco writing desk and a decorative wood-burning fireplace.  It is the perfect spot to relax after a day of exploring the valley!

The Victorian Suite offers quiet and gracious charm with a queen bed in the main room and a full sized bed in the second. Enjoy the enchanting tradition of our Victorian Suite. Antique shoes, lace and a coverlet with threads of gold are the Victorian touches that you will enjoy in our two-room suite.

The Country French Room, located in a private wing of the second floor, delights with its myriad of sloped ceilings and a nostalgic longing for the beautiful countryside of France. The spacious room features a plush queen bed as well as a separate day bed and a large, private en-suite bath. Enjoy the comfort and peace of this magical space.

The Sheraton Room reflects old-world elegance with an antique sleigh bed, end tables, matching dresser and writing desk. Views from this first-floor room are of the courtyard area, gazebo and perennial gardens. Every comfort is afforded to the discriminating guest. “While you’re away, feel at home” in the comfortable Sheraton Room.

The English Hunt Room highlights dramatic hunter green accents, with a queen-size four-poster pineapple bed, mission-style writing desk and oak chest. The Adirondack Room is the most romantic guestroom in Vergennes, VT. Reflecting the grandiose style of the popular Great Camps of the Adirondacks from around the turn of the 19th century, the furnishings in this room highlight the unique Adirondack style and include a magnificent king-size, canopied four-poster Adirondack bed.

The Somerset Room is a large comfortable first-floor bedroom featuring a queen platform bed and a separate twin daybed with trundle. A French door leads to your own private porch, which has wonderful countryside views. The room is fully handicapped accessible. Sip a glass of wine on your private sitting porch while watching baby rabbits at play and colorful birds in flight.

The Bristol Room is our second-floor Lake Champlain inspired room with cathedral ceiling. This charming room decorated in nautical style, features a queen bed and a peaceful view of our own little forest. Great ships of the sea welcome you and the sound of a soft wind outside your bedroom window ensures a dreamy slumber.
