I’ve always been a fan of family history and traditions. In my family, that means cinnamon rolls! Specifically, my Great Grandmother Lucille’s cinnamon rolls. Grandma Lucy, to all of us, was the matriarch of my mother’s side of the family. She was a brilliant piano player and just a dynamic woman to know. And of course, she was the bestower of our family tradition of cinnamon rolls for Christmas Morning. Gooey on the inside and crisp and sugary on the outside, whether you chose the regular cinnamon rolls or the pecan rolls, you were sure to be in heaven all morning long.
Sunday mornings here at the Inn often feature my Grandma Lucy’s rolls in one of my many favorite forms- pecan rolls, cinnamon apple with caramel sauce, glazed with and without raisins….or just plain good cinnamon rolls straight from my family to yours! Enjoy!
